A key highlight of Day 1 is the introduction of Plant Food. The game strategically provides you with a piece of Plant Food, guiding you to use it on a Peashooter. This transforms the Peashooter into a rapid-fire machine, capable of obliterating multiple basic zombies in a single burst, showcasing the significant advantage Plant Food offers. As the level progresses, you'll face slightly tougher enemies like Conehead and Buckethead Mummies, requiring more Peashooters in a lane to effectively deal with them. Upon successfully defending your home from the final wave, you complete the level. While no stars are awarded on the initial playthrough, returning after completing the Ancient Egypt world unlocks three star-granting challenges. These challenges encourage varied strategies, such as protecting a specific flower line, limiting the total number of plants used, or playing with a strict sun budget and plant loss limit.
