The Armored Toad is a giant amphibian, not just any toad, but one encased in a magnificent, mechanical suit of armor, summoned by a Dark Teensy to stop Rayman. The battle against the Armored Toad takes place in the level fittingly named "Armored Toad!". This isn't a simple slugfest; it's a multi-phased challenge that brilliantly tests players' reflexes and their command of the game's mechanics, particularly the newly introduced Flying Punch. To defeat him, players must launch these projectile fists at the toad when he's exposed. The boss's armor progressively shatters with each successful hit, a visual testament to the escalating fight, leading to a rather comical reveal of the foe beneath. As the battle intensifies, the Armored Toad unleashes a barrage of missiles, forcing players to dodge and weave. He also attempts to ram Rayman, demanding quick evasive action. Even between the main boss encounters, smaller red toads appear, keeping the pressure on. Upon his defeat, the Armored Toad is spectacularly sent crashing into a distant castle, which then crumbles, marking a satisfying victory.
