To help with this, Day 1 gives you the Hot Potato, a special plant that, when used, instantly melts the ice around any plant it's placed on. The early zombies in this level are pretty basic – just regular Cave Zombies and their cone or bucket-wearing counterparts. This gives you plenty of time to practice using the Hot Potato to unfreeze your Peashooters and Wall-nuts without getting overwhelmed. The level also introduces ice blocks on the ground that can push zombies into different lanes. It’s a neat trick that helps direct the undead horde, and Day 1 shows you how it works in a controlled environment. By the end of this first day, you’ll have a good handle on how the cold affects your plants and how the Hot Potato is your best friend in this chilly new world.
