Kingdom Chronicles
Description
Kingdom Chronicles is a captivating time-management and strategy game developed by Aliasworlds, set in a vibrant medieval fantasy world. The narrative follows the hero John Brave, who returns from a voyage to find his homeland devastated by the tyrant Moomrabac. To liberate the realm and rescue the royal family, players must master resource allocation, infrastructure repair, and tactical combat across 40 challenging episodes.
Among these, Episode 9, titled "No More Robbers," stands out as a test of strategic planning in the neglected settlement of Walltown. The objective is to restore seven broken perimeter walls, construct three cottages, build a barracks, and amass 50 gold in rent. The primary obstacle is a gang of thieves that periodically enters the town to steal gold. These robbers remain a persistent nuisance until every hole in the town’s wall is fully repaired, making the reconstruction of the perimeter the player’s most pressing priority.
The level design forces players to rethink their economic approach, as the map contains no stone quarries. Because players must trade three units of gold for two units of stone, gold becomes the lifeblood of the mission. Each wall segment is expensive, requiring food, wood, stone, and gold to mend. Success depends on building a robust economy early on. A typical winning strategy begins by deploying clerks to gather loose gold and prioritizing the construction and upgrading of the lumber mill, farm, and worker huts. Constructing an early cottage ensures a steady stream of rental income, which is essential to fund the frequent trades for stone.
Efficiency is further bolstered by the game’s intuitive action-queueing system, which allows players to chain commands to keep workers productive at all times. Strategic use of special skills—such as the Work skill for speed and the Produce skill for resource generation—is vital for securing an expert gold medal rating. By balancing the urgent need for gold with the systematic repair of the walls, players can permanently banish the thieves from Walltown, demonstrating the tactical foresight required to continue their quest against Moomrabac.
